A stunning new dining and lifestyle precinct, Wunderlich Lane, is set to open on the edge of Redfern and Surry Hills later this year. Developed by TOGA Group, this massive project will roll out in stages this spring and be fully completed by the end of 2024. It’s bringing together some of the city’s best in food, beauty, hotels, and retail – and we couldn’t be more excited.

Wunderlich Lane is shaping up to be one of the biggest things to hit Sydney since the new Metro, WorldPride, and the FIFA Women’s World Cup. The list of venues and operators just dropped, and it’s impressive!

What to Expect at Wunderlich Lane

First up, The Eve, a 102-room boutique hotel by TFE Hotels (the folks behind Brisbane’s The Calile), will open with a 20-metre pool. Liquid & Larder, the group behind Sydney’s hotspots like Bistecca and The Rover, will handle food and drinks with rooftop and poolside dining options.

Foodies will also be thrilled with Olympus, a 200-seat Greek restaurant from The Apollo Group, inspired by mountain cuisine with an Athenian twist. Plus, the team behind LuMi will open Regina La Pizzeria, run by chef Matteo Ernandes, serving modern pizza delights.

Two more exciting venues by House Made Hospitality will open on the corner of Cleveland and Crown streets. Island Radio will offer a tropical diner experience, blending Singaporean, Indonesian, and Filipino flavors, led by chef Andrianto ‘Andy’ Wirya. Upstairs, you’ll find Baptist Street Rec Club, an ‘80s-inspired cocktail and wine bar with great drinks and a laid-back vibe.

As if that wasn’t enough, Gelato Messina will scoop out their famous treats from a new store, while Japanese chef Raita Noda will launch his second restaurant, R by Raita, a luxe diner transforming into an omakase experience by night.

More Than Just Food

Along with the amazing restaurants and bars, Wunderlich Lane will feature a variety of wellness and beauty retailers. Sydney-based Saardé will open its flagship store, offering beautiful home and self-care products, while The Parlour Room spa is opening its first salon outside of Clovelly.

The precinct’s name, Wunderlich, is a nod to the area’s history, where the Wunderlich brothers produced Sydney’s iconic terracotta roof tiles and decorative ceilings in the early 1900s.

When this incredible precinct is complete, it’s safe to say Sydneysiders will have plenty of reasons to rediscover and enjoy their city!
