Fireworks at Sydney Harbour

For the first time, fireworks will be launched from the western side of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, adding to the breathtaking spectacle. The 12-minute display will feature 264 firing points along a seven-kilometer stretch of the harbourfront, creating a larger footprint for enhanced visibility.

Animal-shaped fireworks, drones, and innovative aerial platforms—an Australian-first—will be incorporated into the event, ensuring a truly memorable night.

“We’re always looking at how we can evolve our show, and believe this will be one of the most innovative New Year’s Eve displays in the world,” said Fortunato Foti, director of Foti International Fireworks.

The fireworks are choreographed to a specially curated soundtrack, blending vibrant pyrotechnics with music for a synchronized show. The festivities will kick off with the Calling to Country fireworks at 9 PM, honouring Indigenous culture, followed by the grand finale at midnight.

Stephen Gilby, executive producer for the City of Sydney, highlighted the event’s economic and cultural impact, noting it is expected to generate over $280 million for the local economy. “The Sydney Harbour Bridge will be the centerpiece of a huge 12-minute display bursting into the sky,” he said.
