  • Increased Cycling Options: New bike spaces will be available at stations for a seamless connection between cycling and metro travel.
  • Trial Runs and Final Confirmation: While the official opening date is set for August 4th, final confirmation will be announced in the coming weeks. This depends on the successful completion of over 100 remaining trial runs by the operator.

Transport Minister Jo Haylen expressed excitement about the upcoming launch:

“Excitement is mounting for when commuters will be able to step on-board 445 new metro services deep below the city every day.
