Adrian, an avid aviation enthusiast, first noticed Little Wings planes at Bankstown Airport and grew curious about their mission. Upon learning that the organization transports sick children to major hospitals for essential medical treatment, he was deeply moved.

For Ciara, the cause struck an even deeper chord her five year old sister passed away from neuroblastoma in 1999. This personal experience made their decision even more meaningful.

“Adrian obviously loves his flying, and he said that when we had the plane, we would donate it to Little Wings because they do such wonderful work,” Ciara shared. “That’s where the inspiration all came from.”

A Swift and Heartfelt Donation

Without hesitation, Adrian contacted Little Wings and immediately set the wheels in motion. “I don’t think she took me seriously,” he recalled. But the next day, he arrived with the plane, flight manuals, and all necessary equipment, ready to hand it over.

The aircraft was quickly sent for custom branding, proudly featuring the Little Wings logo. In a touching tribute, Ciara’s sister’s name was inscribed on the topmost part of the tail. Within weeks, the plane was already on missions, helping children reach life-saving medical care.

A Lifeline for Regional Families

Ciara highlighted the significant difference this aircraft will make for Australian families:

“In Ireland, being so small, there’s no care that’s too far away. But in Australia, it’s a completely different ball game. It’s amazing that this plane can make such a difference for all these little kids.”

For Adrian, a father of three boys with another on the way, the impact was deeply personal. “Understanding how important it is for these children to be taken into Sydney for care made this decision an easy one,” he said.

A Lasting Impact

Little Wings expressed immense gratitude, stating that the donation will greatly enhance their ability to serve families in need. The couple’s generosity ensures that more sick children in remote areas receive the urgent medical attention they require—giving them a fighting chance at a healthier future.

This heartfelt act of kindness proves that giving back can truly change lives.
