The highly anticipated debut trailer for Captain America Brave New World has dropped, and it’s packed with thrilling revelations, including the much-anticipated introduction of Red Hulk into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Captain America Brave New World Debut Trailer Reveal

The trailer showcases Anthony Mackie returning as Sam Wilson / Captain America, joined by Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres / Falcon, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns / Leader, and Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross. However, it’s the tantalizing glimpse of Red Hulk at the trailer’s climax that is bound to ignite fan speculation about the future of the MCU.

The storyline unfolds with Thaddeus Ross summoning Sam Wilson with a controversial proposal: make Captain America an official arm of the U.S. military. This suggestion clearly doesn’t sit well with Sam. Meanwhile, other key players, including the Leader, influence world events. Isaiah Bradley, who first appeared in Disney+’s “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier,” attempts to assassinate Thaddeus Ross. The trailer promises plenty of action, highlighting Sam’s new flight capabilities. In a poignant moment, Thaddeus Ross reminds Sam that he’s not Steve Rogers, a sentiment Sam acknowledges.

The climax of the trailer is electrifying: Red Hulk catches Captain America’s iconic shield and slams it into the ground, setting up a potentially one-sided but epic battle between Sam and Red Hulk. Marvel, of course, keeps many surprises under wraps.

The trailer also confirms long-standing leaks that Harrison Ford’s Thaddeus Ross would transform into the colossal Red Hulk. This development suggests that “Captain America: Brave New World” may draw from various Hulk comic storylines from 2008 to 2010, which prominently featured Red Hulk. Fans are speculating that this could be a stealth Hulk movie or even Mark Ruffalo’s farewell to the MCU.

Alongside the trailer, Marvel released the first poster for “Captain America: Brave New World,” which is set to hit theaters on February 14, 2025.

Additionally, the trailer confirms the casting of Giancarlo Esposito, renowned for his roles in “Breaking Bad,” “Star Wars,” and “The Boys.” Earlier reports in May suggested that the film underwent reshoots to introduce Esposito’s new villainous character. Esposito had previously expressed interest in portraying X-Men leader Professor Xavier, but it wasn’t until May that he confirmed his official entry into the MCU in a mystery role. Esposito has teased that this role is “better than you can imagine,” and his character is set to star in their own TV series.
