he said. Many health workers are feeling overwhelmed by administrative tasks, like chasing documentation or equipment, which adds to the stress.

But AI could change that. Grant pointed out that some countries are already using AI to reduce this workload. He estimates that about 30% of a nurse’s admin tasks could be automated, which would allow health professionals to focus more on patient care. AI could also help hospitals manage equipment and supplies, improving productivity by up to 15%.
The key, he says, is using AI responsibly. Ensuring security and privacy are essential steps before this technology becomes widely adopted in the health sector.

Meanwhile, AI is already helping some businesses thrive. Marcus Crook, founder of the streetwear brand HoMie, uses Microsoft’s AI tool, Copilot, to streamline his design and business processes. HoMie, a social enterprise that helps at-risk youth, has benefited from Crook’s ability to quickly visualise designs and manage fabric purchases using AI. He’s also able to analyse market trends and create brand partnerships more effectively.
Even the IT industry, often seen as the one most likely to lose jobs to AI, is welcoming the technology. A survey of IT workers in the UK, US, and India found that 58% felt overwhelmed by their workloads, and 92% would happily delegate tasks to AI. These workers believe AI could save them over two hours each day by handling tasks like monitoring networks, basic troubleshooting, and solving simple problems.
