Key players Isaac Heeney and Chad Warner led the charge, turning the game around in the final quarter after the Swans trailed at three-quarter time. Heeney’s standout performance included 30 disposals, five tackles, three goals, and seven clearances. His remarkable one-handed mark in the third quarter sparked the Swans’ comeback. Warner also impressed with 27 disposals and seven clearances in the final term.
GWS, who had never lost to the Swans in a finals match before, were left stunned. Despite leading at the three-quarter time break, it was their first finals loss under coach Adam Kingsley.
